Presentation

At 6:27 p.m. Joe introduced David Whittle from MGI (now Roxio) who presented several of their imaging products to us.

VideoWave 5 is a video editor that can accept input from VCR and digital and analog camcorders and create customized outputs. VideoWave5 gives the user the ability to:
· divide the video input into scenes and rearrange
· extract single frames to a file to get a still picture
· remove segments
· change coloring and contrast
· add special effects
· add test
· mix 2 videos
· add narration and / or music
· output results to industry standard formats including tape, DVD and CD

System requirements for VideoWave5 are a 500 MHz Pentium or better with a minimum of 64 MHz memory.

PhotoVista Virtual Tour enables the user to create panoramic views viewable inside a regular browser. Inputs are still pictures taken in a panorama. The software allows the stills to be ordered numerically and then "stitched" together. Hot spots can be added to zoom in on points of interest where another panorama can be viewed.

PhotoSuite 4 Platinum Edition is a photo editor that allows the user to modify photos (add and remove objects), add effects, remove redeye, touch up and stitch photos together both horizontally and vertically, blending exposure differences. This software has a library of templates to start with.

Dave presented several interesting video and photo examples to us and provided copies of the MGI products for sale at the following prices which reflect $5.00 off normal club prices with the exception of VideoWave5 which is a $10.00 additional discount:

PhotoSuite 4 $25
VideoWave5 $55
